On June 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may participate in the European Union summit in Brussels, although this information has not yet been confirmed for security reasons. This was reported by a correspondent for the Polish radio station RMF FM in Brussels.

«Unofficially, it is said that Volodymyr Zelensky will arrive in Brussels on the first day of the EU summit. This information is circulating,» a senior EU diplomat said in a comment to RMF FM. According to him, Ukraine and the European Union are negotiating the signing of a security guarantee document, which is planned to be signed «at the level of foreign ministers».

«Volodymyr Zelensky and EU leaders will participate in this ceremony,» the diplomat added. The security guarantee document is already prepared, but its formalization is scheduled for June 25 during a meeting of EU ministers for European affairs.

EU approves new sanctions against Russia

It is worth reminding that on June 24, the Council of the European Union approved the 14th package of sanctions against Russia, aimed at preventing the circumvention of sanctions through third countries, particularly regarding Russian liquefied natural gas.
