The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) continues to actively investigate the shooting incident at a Donald Trump rally, in which Thomas Matthew Crooks’ mobile phone was broken. According to the Associated Press, agents also searched his computer, house, car, and questioned over 100 witnesses.

No Significant Clues from Crooks’ Phone

An anonymous law enforcement official stated that the information from Crooks’ phone did not provide significant clues about the motives of the attack or possible accomplices. So far, no records or messages explaining his actions have been found.

Crooks’ Donation to Political Committee

According to federal campaign finance reports, Crooks donated $15 to the progressive political action committee on January 20, 2021, the day of President Joe Biden’s inauguration, even though he was registered as a Republican in Pennsylvania.
