Yuri Siomin from Rokytne in Rivne region is engaged in an unusual hobby — he grows exotic fruits on his plot of land. Among them are passion fruit, kiwi, persimmon, jujube, and other rare plants. The man started this hobby after retiring, and now his garden includes dozens of types of exotic plants that adapt to the Ukrainian climate.
Yuri says that he is interested not only in the variety of plants, but also in their uniqueness. He talks about his successes and challenges in growing each of the species, which have already proven themselves excellently in other countries such as the Czech Republic and Canada.
In the future, Yuri plans to further expand his garden by introducing new exotic plants that could become popular among Ukrainians.
