President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has expressed his intention to revive the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which stimulates interest in the origin of grain products that pass through the Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits to various countries around the world.
The head of the public organization «Ukrainian Agrarian Assembly» Alexander Hapon mentioned on FREEДОМ that Turkey already has the ability to track the routes of grain without the need for new agreements.
«Erdogan can track the routes of ships passing through the Bosphorus thanks to transponders, which is impossible to do with trains carrying grain through Crimea or the occupied part of Donbas,» he said. However, Hapon emphasized that the issue of the origin of grain products is indeed important for consumers in global South countries.
