A Tragic Incident at Lake Zatyshne
A tragedy occurred at Lake Zatyshne, located in the Old Town — a 14-year-old teenager drowned while swimming. The friends of the boy claim that he did not know how to swim. The boy’s parents allowed him to relax by the lake only on the condition that he would not swim. However, the leisure activity turned into a tragedy.
People who were relaxing nearby heard a distressing cry, noticing that the child was submerged under water for a long time, and called rescuers. SES fighters and divers spent an hour trying to find the teenager.
Eventually, the lifeless body was pulled out of the water. Medics tried to revive his cardiovascular activity for 20 minutes, but unfortunately, all efforts were in vain.
