Supporting Veterans: University Initiatives and Community Partnerships

Supporting Veterans in Ukraine

According to the data from the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the number of veterans after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war may increase to 4 million people. Returning home, veterans face numerous challenges such as psychological and social support, reintegration, and finding new business and educational opportunities.

Resource Center for Veterans

A decision in favor of veterans was the opening of the Resource Center for Veterans at the National University «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy» (NaUKMA) and the holding of a panel discussion on the topic «Education for Veterans: the necessity for a successful return to civilian professional life». The aim of the event was to gather the opinions of representatives from various sectors interested in the integration of veterans. Participants in the discussion included representatives from the Ministry of Economy, military experts, the Ukrainian IT sector, and NaUKMA.

A Strategic Investment

Education for veterans is a strategic and long-term investment in the future of Ukraine. Society, the state, and business need to adapt to the needs of defenders, jointly developing and implementing projects for their support and integration into civilian life.
