The State Service of Ukraine on Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience has announced three tenders for research on interethnic relations and identification of language, ethnic, and religious identities of Ukrainian citizens totaling 8.2 million hryvnias. This was reported according to ProZorro data, as noted by «Glavkom».
The most expensive tender
The most expensive tender is the nationwide public opinion monitoring, with a budget of 6 million hryvnias. This research plans to survey at least 3,500 respondents aged 18 and older residing in territories controlled by the Ukrainian government. The main goal of the research is to determine the most pressing issues of ethnic and cultural self-identification among representatives of national minorities and indigenous peoples of Ukraine, as well as to study the issues of adherence to rights and non-discrimination.
Research on integration and cultural needs
The State Service also plans to conduct research on the integration and cultural needs of internally displaced persons from among national minorities and indigenous peoples. Another research, costing 1.3 million hryvnias, involves surveying at least 1,600 respondents and is aimed at studying attitudes towards representatives of various national minorities and indigenous peoples, assessing the level of societal cohesion, and determining the level of conflict in Ukrainian society.
Focus on interethnic relations in Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia regions
The third research, with a planned budget of 900,000 hryvnias, will focus on studying interethnic relations (ethnic, linguistic, and religious identities) of residents of the Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia regions. It is planned to interview 1,200 individuals, including permanent residents and migrants.
