Reconstruction Underway in Makariv, Kyiv Region

The reconstruction of a building in Makariv, Kyiv region, which was damaged during active combat operations, is currently taking place. This information was shared by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

The five-story building at 1A Sadova Street was damaged in the spring of 2022. The windows and doors were shattered, balconies were destroyed, and the roof was damaged. One of the entrances was completely destroyed: the facade was damaged, the interior walls and interfloor slabs were burnt, and the electrical and gas networks were severed.

The capital repair of the building began in September 2023. Initially, the builders dismantled the damaged entrance and other structures that were not subject to restoration, and started the restoration of the building. Currently, specialists have completed the masonry of the walls and poured the roof screed. Next, the contractor will start insulating and decorating the facade. Concurrently, work is underway on installing windows, restoring the water supply and sewage systems.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration noted that the repair works are financed from the funds of the Fund for the Elimination of Consequences of Armed Aggression.
