Brazilian midfielder Pedrinho returns to Shakhtar Donetsk
Brazilian midfielder Pedrinho, who currently plays for Atletico Mineiro, will make a return to Shakhtar Donetsk. The 25-year-old player has signed a new contract with the «miners» that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2029.
From July 2024 onwards, Pedrinho will once again be wearing the colors of Shakhtar. Until then, he will continue to represent Atletico Mineiro on the field.
In the summer transfer window of 2021, Pedrinho made a move to Shakhtar from Portuguese side Benfica, with the transfer costing the Donetsk club 18 million euros. This made it the second most expensive incoming transfer in the club’s history, behind only Bernard (25 million euros).
During the 2021/22 season, Pedrinho played 19 matches for Shakhtar, netting 4 goals and helping the team secure the Ukrainian Super Cup.
