The dismantling of illegal extensions on the historical building in Odessa
The dismantling of illegal extensions on the facade and in the courtyard of a historical building in Odessa has been completed after a local businessman decided to expand his cafe.
This was reported by the head of the municipal department of state architectural and construction control, Alexander Avdeev.
We are talking about the Brodsky profit house on Yekaterininskaya Street, 4, built in 1843 according to the project of architect Franz Morandi.
The businessman, who owns 237 square meters of this building, found the existing space insufficient for his cafe, so he decided to expand his property on the facade and in the courtyard. Unauthorized extensions, mostly made of glass and metal, were erected without permission.
On April 5 of this year, inspectors conducted a check and found a lack of necessary documents for the construction work. On the same day, an official request was sent to the Primorsky district administration asking for the dismantling of illegal structures.
The decision to demolish the illegal extensions was implemented, and now the historical building has returned to its original appearance.
