In Kryvyi Rih, a man who hit his mother with an axe during a family quarrel has been arrested by the police. The incident took place in an apartment in the Pokrovsky district of the city, where the 39-year-old man seriously injured the 61-year-old woman.
Police officers, arriving at the scene, determined that a dispute had arisen between the son and the mother, which escalated into a conflict during which the man struck the woman with an axe. The victim was taken to the city hospital for medical treatment.
Law enforcement officers detained the attacker, who already has a criminal record, in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. A kitchen axe, used in the attack, was also seized.
