Mayor Igor Terekhov has signed an order to rename 18 toponyms associated with Russia, the Kharkiv City Council reported.
Bakulina Street
has been renamed in honor of the deceased First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevgeny Yenin.
Trinkler Drive
is now called Glisada Dzhusa Drive, in honor of Ukrainian military pilot Andrey.
Also renamed are:
Belomorskaya Street to Finnish Street, Baikalskaya Street to Snowy Street, Kronstadt Lane to Milky Lane, Kronstadt Street to Lithuanian Street, Altai Lane to Windy Lane, Krasnouralskaya Street to Lowland Street, Irtysskaya Street to Merlinsky Street, Irtyssky Lane to Chepelsky Lane, Izhevskaya Street to Sugar Street, and Izhevsky Lane to Thriving Lane.
Kolsky Lane is now called Red Ruth Lane, Elbrussky Lane — Bukovel Lane, and Elninsky Lane — Picturesque Lane.
Vladivostok Street has become Swedish Street, the similarly named lane — Scandinavian, and the entrance — Lirnitsky.
