If there is a significant deficit again in the Ukrainian energy system, energy officials will be forced to implement schedules for disconnecting businesses and residential consumers.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, at a government meeting on May 30. He also emphasized that the state of the Ukrainian energy sector remains at the center of the government’s attention.
«Thanks to solar generation and the return to service of two nuclear reactor units, planned consumer disconnections are not being applied. However, this does not eliminate the need to systematically save electricity,»
the Prime Minister added.
