Future plans: new police department in Lviv

In Lviv, a new police department is planned to be built on Pid Holosko Street.

According to information, the Shevchenkivskyi district department is planned to be relocated to this new location. Currently, it is located in the historic city center, at 5 Akademika Romana Kuchera Street.

«The existing conditions do not meet modern requirements in terms of technical safety, transport accessibility, and efficient functioning. The proposal to relocate the district department to the Pid Holosko area is logical and expedient,» noted the chief architect of the project Yuriy Stolyarov.

There is a moratorium on new construction in this area, but only for residential purposes. According to the architect, discussions with the public confirmed the need for a new police department here. The location near Chornovola Avenue and a large forest park zone, adjacent to the Bryukhovychi forest, will ensure effective security for residents and visitors.

According to the project, the building will consist of two blocks — four and two floors. An internal terrace is planned between them, which will be used by employees for recreation. One part of the building will be designated for office space, and the other — for special needs, including holding detained individuals. There are also plans for parking for special vehicles and underground parking.
