Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas Expresses Concerns About Ukraine
Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas has expressed serious concerns about the future situation in Ukraine and called on NATO allies to strengthen their military support to prevent potential Russian aggression. She noted that Estonia has already invested significant financial and material resources in Ukraine’s military efforts, providing more than 1% of its GDP in assistance. «If other NATO countries join us in this effort, Ukraine will have a chance to succeed,» she emphasized.
No Backup Plan in Case of Ukrainian Defeat
However, she pointed out that there is currently no backup plan in case of a possible Ukrainian defeat. «We have no alternative in case of Russia’s victory, as our main goal is to help Ukraine repel any possible invasion,» Kallas said.
Importance of Ukraine Joining NATO
She also emphasized the importance of Ukraine being accepted into NATO. «There is no need to despair. Ukraine’s victory does not just mean reclaiming territory. If Ukraine becomes a NATO member, even without full territorial restoration, it will be a victory as it will be under NATO protection,» she added.
