The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns Russian missile strike in Kyiv
The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Russian Ambassador in Prague, Alexander Zmeyevsky, over a missile strike that took place on July 8 in Kyiv, and conveyed through him to Russia that they are «humanity’s garbage». Minister Jan Lipavský, who is on a visit to the USA, sent Zmeyevsky to protest after the Russian strike on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv.
«The killers who attack children in a hospital are humanity’s garbage. Let him convey this to Moscow,» commented Lipavský on social media.
Zmeyevsky, in a comment to Seznam Zpravy, claims that «it was not a Russian missile, it was a Ukrainian missile», and the meeting at the ministry, according to him, went «as always».
Deputy Jan Marian, who delivered the protest note to the Russian ambassador, called the Russian attack barbaric.
«Unfortunately, we have been witnessing such behavior from Russia for two years since the beginning of full-scale aggression. But this is what required us to tell the Russian side that this is barbarism and another one of Russia’s war crimes,» he said.
On July 8, the Russians carried out a missile strike on the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital in Kyiv. On July 9, rescuers completed emergency rescue operations on the territory of Okhmatdyt. Two people were killed, 32 were injured. 94 children have been transferred from Okhmatdyt to other medical facilities, eight of them are injured, Vitali Klitschko reported.
