Anna Skorokhod accused the mayor of Lviv of discrediting the work of the TSK regarding General Tkachuk

During a speech in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian MP Anna Skorokhod accused Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovyi of undermining the work of the Temporary Investigative Commission (TIC) investigating the activities of General Pavlo Tkachuk as head of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Sagaidachny. This information became known from the video broadcast of the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada, which took place on Wednesday, May 22.

«Sadovyi, together with the head of the academy of ground forces Tkachuk and businessman Lomakovych, are complaining to the president about our work. The TIC has so far processed over 3,000 complaints regarding the educational institution. Many of the remarks and violations we have identified have been sent to the academy’s command for resolution, but no action has been taken. Everything that is being done is mere political reprisals,»

the deputy stated.

Skorokhod appealed to President Volodymyr Zelensky and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk to protect the work of the commission and its members from pressure.

«We appeal to the President of Ukraine and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. Please protect the work of our commission, protect our members,» emphasized Anna Skorokhod.

The head of the parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk, after her speech, noted that the TIC is a powerful tool of the parliament, and there will be a proper response from the authorities to those who exert pressure on the commission’s activities.
