Ancient mansion in Odessa region sold for $950,000: buyer finally found

The historic mansion in Bolhrad

In the Odessa region, a historic mansion from the 19th century, located in the center of Bolhrad, was successfully sold on the fifth attempt. This architectural monument with an area of over 500 square meters was purchased at a Dutch auction for 950 thousand hryvnias, although the starting price was 1.7 million hryvnias.

Buyer and Auction Details

According to the «Prozorro. Sales» portal, the auction was conducted in the format of lowering bids, and the only participant in the auction was Yulian Kurguzov from Dnipro. He is known as the manager and beneficiary of many companies registered in Dnipro and Kyiv, as well as the head of the public organization «Center for Legal Excellence.»

Historical Significance and Current Condition

The mansion, also known as the Doctor Nachev house, is located in the historic center of the city and includes two non-residential buildings with an area of 405 and 57 square meters, as well as auxiliary structures: a toilet, a cellar, a barn, and a shed. The technical condition of the building is unsatisfactory and requires major repairs.

Previously, the Bolhrad City Council tried to sell the mansion for 3.4 million hryvnias, and later for 1.7 million at an English auction, but to no avail. Only after switching to a Dutch auction was a buyer found.

The mansion has an interesting history: during Soviet times, it housed an anti-tuberculosis sanatorium, and later a station for young naturalists.
