In the Sviatoshynskyi District: Drunken Man Fires Shots from Balcony
In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a dangerous situation occurred when a drunken man decided to shoot from the balcony of a multi-storey building.
A local resident called 102 and reported that an unknown man from the fifth floor of the building was firing in the air.
The investigative-operational group of the Sviatoshynskyi police department and patrol police arrived at the scene.
Later, law enforcement officers identified the suspect — a 50-year-old resident of Kyiv who was intoxicated at the time of the crime.
It was established that the man fired several shots into the air from a traumatic weapon. Thankfully, there were no injuries.
During the search in the apartment, the police found a pistol, a traumatic weapon, ammunition, spent cartridges, and a plastic jar with cannabis. All the items found were seized for expert examination.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Gross violation of public order motivated by blatant disrespect for society,» which carries a penalty of up to five years of imprisonment.
