Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba Visits China
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba arrived in China at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He announced this on Tuesday, February 23, on his social media.
Kuleba noted that the two-day trip to China was worth every minute spent. He emphasized the importance of discussions about peace in Ukraine and expressed hope for a swift resolution.
This visit marks the first time a Ukrainian Foreign Minister has visited China since the conflict began, and the first full bilateral visit since 2012. Kuleba highlighted the significance of these facts and announced that detailed and productive negotiations on the issue of peace in Ukraine are expected.
«We need to avoid competition in peaceful initiatives and focus on achieving a fair and sustainable peace. In this process, China can play an important role,» the minister said.
