Attempted Terrorist Infiltration on the Border

During the evening briefing, the spokesperson for the IDF, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagar, revealed details of a nighttime incident on the border with Rafiah, when a group of terrorists attempted to infiltrate Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip.

Swift IDF Response

According to the IDF investigation, around 4 am, armed with automatic weapons and grenade launchers, the terrorists emerged from a tunnel approximately 200 meters from the Israeli border. Despite the dense morning fog, female IDF observers spotted the terrorists and raised the alarm, prompting a response from a unit of Bedouin soldiers.

Elimination of Terrorists

The militants opened fire on the soldiers from close range. Three militants were eliminated by air strikes and tank fire, while the fourth managed to evade capture and hide within the Gaza Strip territory. Daniel Hagar reported that from the beginning of the incident to the elimination of the militants, only five minutes had elapsed.
