Today, an emotional event in support of Ukrainian prisoners of war took place on the waterfront in Odessa near the dolphinarium.
About a hundred Odessa residents gathered to honor the heroes from the Azov regiment and other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who have been held in enemy captivity since 2022.
As reported by the correspondent of «Dumska», the participants of the event held portraits of their friends and relatives who became prisoners of war, as well as posters demanding their return home.
The organizer of the event, a representative of the Azov volunteer corps Vyacheslav Dudchak, explained that the choice of location on the coast was made to attract the attention of a large number of people.
«We want to remind everyone that our servicemen have been in captivity since May 20, 2022,» — noted Dudchak. — The previous exchange took place on May 6, 2023, in which the Azov soldiers also participated. There have been no exchanges since then.»
