Snake Bites Reported in Lviv Region
Two cases of snake bites have been reported in Lviv region, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. One victim, a 52-year-old resident of Zaluzhzhia village in Yavoriv district, is in critical condition in the intensive care unit with a diagnosis of «snake bite on the left hand».
Another victim, a 40-year-old resident of Prybuzhany village in Lviv district, is currently being treated in the hospital for a moderate snake bite.
Rescuers are warning that snakes have become more active and urge people to be cautious. They advise, «If you notice a snake, do not make sudden movements! Wait for it to crawl away. Usually, the snake does not attack stationary objects.»
