Law enforcement officers are investigating an attack on police officers that took place overnight on April 20 in the Haisynskyi district of Vinnytsia region. The incident claimed the life of one police officer and injured his colleague.

Around 2 a.m., police officers stopped a dark-colored unknown car for inspection. There were two men in the car who opened fire on the police officers. As a result of the injuries, a 20-year-old police officer was killed, and his partner was injured,» the department added.
A police operation has been launched in the Vinnytsia and Odesa regions
With the efforts of the operational services, individuals likely involved in the crime have been identified. Instructions have been sent to all regional units of the National Police,» law enforcement officers reported.
