Kharkiv Acquires 6 Mini-CHP Plants for Providing Light and Heat

The Ministry of Restoration of Ukraine supplies mini-heat and power plants to Kharkiv

The Ministry of Restoration of Ukraine has announced the supply of 6 mini-heat and power plants to Kharkiv, capable of providing light and heat. These installations were transferred to the Kharkiv region back in March. Despite the shelling of the region’s energy infrastructure on March 22, all these installations continue to provide heat and electricity to critical facilities and apartment buildings.

Assistance from different regions

A total of 91 cogeneration units have been purchased for 32 cities in Ukraine and two universities. The commissioning of all installations with capacities ranging from 50 kW to 1500 kW will ensure stable heat supply for over 1 million residents of apartment buildings and around 1000 social facilities regardless of planned or emergency power outages.

Additionally, other regions of Ukraine are providing assistance to the Kharkiv region:

Kyiv region

The Kyiv region has provided an additional two generators with capacities of 520 and 800 kW to Kharkiv. The previous batch of equipment was transferred last week — consisting of 13 powerful generators ranging from 10 to 22 kW.

Boguslav community

The Boguslav community of the Kyiv region is collecting power banks for the residents of Kharkiv. In addition, the Boguslav city council has handed over two generators with a capacity of 3.5 kW.

Cherkasy region

The Cherkasy region is putting together a package of assistance for the Kharkiv region: approximately 20 generators of various capacities, batteries, power banks, and other electrical devices.

Khmelnytsky region

The Khmelnytsky region has transferred 50 generators and 5 tons of fuel to Kharkiv, preparing a new batch of similar shipments.
