Kharkiv University Joins Three Seas Scientific Initiative for Innovation Development

National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» signs Memorandum with leading Ukrainian universities

National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» has signed a Memorandum with three other leading Ukrainian universities to create a scientific and educational platform within the «Three Seas Initiative — Ukraine». The signing ceremony took place in Kharkiv, marking a significant step towards integrating Ukrainian science into the international scientific community.

Partners in the agreement

The agreement includes Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Odessa Maritime Academy National University. The platform is also supported by a public organization with the same name.

Main goals of the platform

The main goals of the new platform include increasing the activity of scientific research, development of startups and innovations, and involvement of new educational institutions, research institutes, and business structures.

Joining the international initiative

Thanks to this platform, Ukrainian science will have the opportunity to join the international «Three Seas» initiative (Three Seas Initiative — 3SI). The platform will be presented at the upcoming «3SI» summit and business forum in Vilnius on April 11, 2024.

About the «Three Seas Initiative»

The «Three Seas Initiative» is an international economic and infrastructure project involving 13 countries of the European Union around the Baltic, Black, and Adriatic Seas. Ukraine became an associated member of this initiative in late 2023.
