The bulk carrier Captain Leonidas sets record as largest vessel to enter Odessa port

The bulk carrier Captain Leonidas, flying the flag of Panama, has made history by becoming the largest vessel to enter the ports of Odessa since the start of the full-scale invasion. Loaded with over 195,000 tons of Ukrainian iron ore, the bulker set sail early on the morning of April 5, as reported by «Dumskaya».

According to the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine, the top exporters of Ukrainian products now include Captain Leonidas with 195,700 tons, George Island with 178,060 tons, and Jutta with 176,847 tons.

With over 130 vessels currently en route to the ports of Odessa, an estimated 4 million tons of products are expected to be exported.

Since the opening of the maritime corridor in September of last year, more than 1,300 vessels have exported over 36 million tons of cargo from the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi.
