Unexpected Arrival: Woman Gives Birth Without Knowing She Was Pregnant
In the Odessa region, a surprising event took place as a woman gave birth to a child without any prior knowledge of her pregnancy. The regional branch of the Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine Center of the Odessa region reported this unusual occurrence.
Quick Response
On the night of April 4, a call was received by the Unified Operational Dispatch Center reporting a young woman in a village experiencing fever and abdominal pain. Within minutes, Brigade No. 86, led by paramedic Illia Kravtsa and driver Vadim Ninov, arrived at the scene and assisted the woman in childbirth just three minutes later.
Surprising Discovery
It was revealed that the abdominal pain was actually the woman going into labor. The paramedics helped deliver a baby girl, who cried after tactile stimulation. The newborn’s condition was assessed at 6 points on the Apgar scale, a system used to quickly evaluate a newborn’s health in the first moments of life.
