In the Pechersk district of Kyiv, unidentified individuals attacked a businesswoman and took three million hryvnias from her. This was reported by the Kyiv police.
Details of the Attack
According to the woman, two unknown individuals attacked her on the street near her house, sprayed tear gas on her face, and took a bag with three million hryvnias from her before disappearing.
Investigation and Arrest
According to the Kyiv city prosecutor’s office, four criminals were tracking the woman, knowing that she would be transporting money. To track her movements around the city, a tracker was installed on the Kyivan’s car. Two members of the group waited for the woman near her house in Pechersk and were later identified. Two more men involved in the robbery were also identified during the investigation. All suspects have been detained, with material evidence seized from them during searches.
Charges and Punishment
The suspects have been charged with robbery and face up to 15 years in prison with property confiscation under article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
