Official Presentation of State Awards to Mothers of Fallen Warrior-Defenders
In Novomyrhorod, an official presentation of state awards to the mothers of fallen warrior-defenders took place. This information was shared by the community press service and the local publication Zlatopil.
By the Decree of the President of Ukraine, the mothers received state awards posthumously for their sons, who gave their lives in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. In particular, the Order of Courage III degree (posthumously) was awarded to sailor Oleksandr Mykolayovych Perchun, who died on October 2, 2022 in Kherson region, and senior soldier Valeriy Volodymyrovych Chornyy, who died on October 15, 2023 in Donbas.
The award ceremony took place in the premises of the Novomyrhorod City Council. The Mayor and representatives of the local authorities expressed sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and highly appreciated the contribution of their sons to the defense of Ukraine.
Gratitude was also expressed to the mothers Kateryna Vasylivna and Mariya Hryhorivna, who supported their sons at all stages of their service.
