In Odessa on July 15 a false bomb threat was reported at a local school
On July 15 in Odessa, a report about a school being mined was received by the special line «101» from an anonymous girl. The National Police press service confirmed that after a thorough check, no dangerous objects were found on the school premises.
It was later revealed that the call was made by a mischievous 10-year-old girl, a 5th grade student at a local lyceum, who was inspired by a TV series about school. The girl used her father’s phone to make the false call, along with her sisters.
The family, known for raising three underage girls, had no prior involvement with law enforcement. Neighbors describe them as decent and hardworking. The police had a preventive conversation with the children’s parents and took appropriate legal action.
